Working within various sectors during my time in the Investment Club, I have learned a great deal about the tools and resources to support an intelligent investing strategy. I am highly interested in both finance and accounting as well, so I look forward to gaining an even greater understanding of the overlap between the world of investing and the areas I want to pursue in my professional life. The Investment Club has also provided me with valuable experiences evaluating the financials of publicly traded corporations, analyzing financial statements, and making comparisons between time periods and competitors.

Following my graduation from Hillsdale College, I hope to begin a career related to corporate finance, commercial banking, or private wealth management. Outside of my course work, the Investment Club has prepared me substantially to function in a professional business environment. Given the projects and analysis that we have performed in the Club, I was able to develop an idea of what managing assets professionally looks like. Further, I hope to pursue a career in finance and accounting because I enjoy the art behind financial practices and accounting procedures. I also think they provide me with an opportunity to utilize my soft skills on a daily basis and interact with others.
